Volkan Erturk is the CTO and Co-Founder of Picus Security. Volkan has more than 20 years of business and technical leadership experience in IT security. He consulted several mid and large size enterprises and government agencies on security audits, policy and process development, and architecture topics before setting up Picus Security. He also worked as cyber defense specialist and instructor at the NATO Science for Peace and Security program.
Volkan holds B.S. in Mathematics and M.S. in Information Systems; thesis on continuous security monitoring. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Security. Volkan holds ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), and CISM (Certified Information Systems Manager) certificates.
