Veysel Erdag

Veysel Erdag, PhD is currently working as the Chief Information Security Officer in UA Little Rock. As the key member of the key leadership team, he is responsible for the development, delivery, and management of a comprehensive information security program that incorporates policies, procedures, and controls to effectively manage information security risk. He works closely with campus stakeholders to establish strategic information security and compliance goals and to advocate for information security within the University community.

He was graduated as an engineer. After developed several different telecommunications and measurement equipment, he started to work as a network engineer. More than 18 years ago, he started to study Information Security. He has worked with wide variety of organizations as a consultant and as the Chief Information Security Officer. In addition to his professional information security efforts, he prepared and thought information security training courses and presented in information security conferences including Gartner conferences.

He has CISM, CISA, CISSP and CCIE-Security certificates. He earned his PhD degree in 2019. His research was about “The Effects of Strategic Leadership on Business-IT Strategic Alignment”.
