Todd Ryan is the Chief Information Officer for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, where he leads the Information Services Division for Sheriff Chad Chronister and Chief Deputy Donna Lusczynski. Todd initially joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office as a volunteer Reserve 2 Deputy in 2000 before joining as a civilian IT employee in 2009.
Throughout his 30+ year career in Information Technology, Todd was fortunate to have a front-row seat to many technological advancements that were the foundation for modern day standards. After working in several industries and Fortune 100 companies, Todd turned his experience and expertise back into his community as a public sector employee, serving those who dedicate their lives to keeping him and his family safe.
Todd is passionate about improving the collective cyber defense of his entire community, whether that community is based on geography, industry sector, or a need to share data. An advocate of the Community Cyber Security Maturity Model (CCSMM), he is a tireless advocate for information sharing through Florida’s Fusion Centers as well as fully utilizing the resources made available through MS-ISAC and CISA that provide high quality / low cost solutions and strengthen the nation’s cyber defense community.
