Suhail Nanji

Suhail Nanji has over 30 years of Telecommunications experience as both a successful entrepreneur and leading product engineering efforts for key industry products. Mr. Nanji has a great reputation in the industry for on time and under budget product deliveries for very sophisticated embedded telecommunications software. He earned his reputation in the early days as founder and CEO of Forward Technologies, Inc (FTI). From 1990 to 1995, FTI was contracted by many Telecommunications equipment companies to design and develop complex communication protocols embedded in their proprietary hardware. FTI was very successful in selling both custom development solutions and productizing/licensing similar communications system software.

Later in 1995 Mr. Nanji founded BERN Communications which provided full service Internet network integration at a time when the Internet was still in its infancy. BERN uniquely understood and addressed the lack of Internet expertise in the telephone companies and built a turnkey/outsourcing solution for them to become dial-up and dedicated Internet Service Providers (ISPs). BERN went public in 1998.

In 1998 Mr. Nanji joined Redback Networks as part of the early product development team. Redback was a very successful startup telecommunications equipment vendor which pioneered Broadband Remote Access Server (BRAS) technology to manage DSL Internet connections in a highly scalable manner. Redback went public in May 1999 and was the 5th most successful IPO in the history of the stock market at that time.

Mr Nanji has 5 patents (US Patent#s 6,795,441; 6,920,503; 7,054,321; 7,283,472; 7,339,953) and has been an author for two IETF RFCs. He holds the CISSP, CISA and CCSP (Cloud Security) certifications. Mr. Nanji has a BS/BE in Electrical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from The Cooper Union, a college in New York City offering full four year scholarships to all students who are accepted.
