Nathan Brown is the Director of Cybersecurity and CISO for Wake Tech Community College and joined the college in October of 2020. In this role he is responsible for all the cyber security policy, operations, and strategic direction of cybersecurity initiatives for the school.
Nathan also has 25+ years Air Force experience, the last 15 in cybersecurity including commanding the 185th Cyberspace Operations Squadron that was tasked with providing defensive cyber capabilities to the Department of Defense. He led a Cyber Protection Team for US Cyber Command in its role of evaluating, remediating, and defending against attacks from high capability nation states.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and has achieved multiple security certifications over the years.
