Kurt Grutzmacher

Kurt “grutz” Grutzmacher brings nearly 30 years of experience in building and infiltrating diverse computer systems and networks worldwide. His expertise has been utilized by esteemed organizations such as the Federal Reserve System, PG&E, Cisco Systems, Cylance, and LOCH Technologies. Kurt has traveled extensively, identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in high-profile companies, governmental entities, and a broad spectrum of other organizations. His insights have been shared at numerous hacker and security conferences, where he has presented his research on protocol weaknesses, application vulnerabilities, and tradecraft tools, techniques, and practices (TTP).

Kurt has conducted extensive research on security threats, published detailed analyses, and developed tools and methodologies used to find and exploit these weaknesses. He created a series of presentations for Cisco Live that demonstrated the real-world TTP used by hackers and Cisco's customer-facing penetration testing team, where he served as a technical lead. His passion for networking systems led him to co-found 802 Secure, now LOCH Technologies, aiming to address the growing challenges in Wireless Airspace Defense.
