Senior Special Agent (SSA) for the United States Secret Service (USSS) Tampa Field Office

Justin Camp serves as a Senior Special Agent (SSA) for the United States Secret Service (USSS) Tampa Field Office (TPA) in Tampa, Florida and is assigned to the Tampa Bay Cyber Fraud Task Force (TBCFTF). Mr. Camp’s duties with the TBCFTF included conducting digital forensic examinations of computer hard drives, mobile devices, skimmers, vehicles, and other electronic media storage devices to recover digital evidence that have been used for illegal or unauthorized activities. Mr. Camp also conducts network intrusion investigations for small to medium sized businesses, local municipalities, and public works. Investigations ranged from traditional data theft, Business Email Compromise (BEC) and Ransomware to the theft of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and public safety. Mr. Camp was involved in the network intrusion investigation of the Oldsmar, FL Water Treatment Plant in 2021 which received national attention for its threat to public safety.

Mr. Camp began his career as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service (USSS) 22 years ago at the Washington Field Office (WFO) in Washington, DC conducting fraud and counterfeiting investigations as well as investigations into threats made against all individuals the USSS is charged with protecting. From WFO, Mr. Camp was selected to become a member of the Presidential Protective Division (PPD) of the USSS. Mr. Camp was responsible for the day-to-day safety of the President of the United States (POTUS), as well as developing and implementing security plans for Presidential sites eventually becoming a Lead Advance Agent with responsibility for the overall management of an entire advance team and all security measures put in place for Presidential visits. Mr. Camp then transferred to the Criminal Investigative Division (CID) at USSS Headquarters. Mr. Camp was immediately assigned as Assistant Program Manager of the USSS Network Intrusion Responder Program (NITRO). In this position, Mr. Camp’s duties included managing the training and equipment for all USSS NITRO agents while also reviewing agent reports and assisting in the analysis of data submitted by agents in the field. From CID Mr. Camp was transferred TPA where he currently serves.

Before joining the USSS, Mr. Camp was a Sergeant in the Military Police (MP) of the United States Army. Mr. Camp currently holds a Bachelor’s of Science from George Mason University.
