Harvey had focused for several years on Cybersecurity and Compliance in getting companies compliant with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, Sox, and several other regulations when he helped a local company get ready for GDPR in August 2015. Since that project, he has continued to focus on Data Protection and Privacy, assisting companies in evaluating and improving their Information Security as a base for privacy principles, and their data governance in operationalizing what they need to comply with. He also formerly was an IT Auditor, and has focused on GRC and Disaster Recovery, and has full respect for the role of IAM in meeting security, compliance, privacy, and data governance standards. He is a past president of ISSA South Texas Chapter, a past president of ISACA Greater Houston Chapter, and is a Manager at Capgemini where he is a boomeranger, focusing on Data Protection / Privacy, Security, Data Governance, and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery. He leads a Privacy Saturday virtually 9-12 CST on 4th Saturdays through October, and on the 3rd Saturdays in November and December; all are welcome, and up to 3 CPEs are provided:
