Gene Zafrin is Chief Information Security Officer of RenaissanceRe, where he is responsible for global information security.
Prior to joining RenaissanceRe, Mr. Zafrin was Head of Information Security at Oscar Insurance, where he built information and physical security functions of the company. Before joining Oscar, Mr. Zafrin was responsible for a number of information security functions at Bridgewater Associates and Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Zafrin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
