With over 20 years of leadership experience in information security, compliance, and technology innovation, I am the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at UNC Health, one of the nation's leading academic health systems. As the CISO, I am responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision and direction for the security of UNC Health's information assets, systems, and networks, while ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.

My core competencies include strategy, risk management, incident response, workforce education, vulnerability management, regulatory compliance, procedure development, forensic investigations, and business continuity/disaster response/recovery. I also have a strong background in cybersecurity, having completed the CISO Executive Program at Carnegie Mellon University and the Emergency Management Program at Auburn University, both with a cybersecurity focus. Additionally, I am a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a national speaker on security topics. I am passionate about advancing the security profession and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration among security leaders and stakeholders.
