With 15 years of National Security experience in government, Cara connects public-private opportunities, bringing commercial capabilities to the public sector. As a former Naval Intelligence officer and with tours of duty at multiple US Embassies, Cara has in-depth knowledge of U.S. adversaries, both criminal and nation state, and their use of the cyber domain to target American companies and public sector organizations. In her current role at KELA, Cara leverages KELA’s extensive technical collection of the Cybercrime underground to help prevent cybercrime attacks before they happen. Cara holds degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and Carleton College.
