Brian Ruf is a proven hands-on high technology business executive and visionary with a passion for leveraging technology to deliver insights thru leading edge information products and services.
Brian currently serves as a consultant to Ruf Strategic Solutions and its parent company Infutor Data Solutions. Brian previously served as Vice President of Information Services for Infutor and prior to that served as Chief Information Officer, Director, and owner for Ruf Strategic Solutions.
Throughout a career spanning over 35 years, Brian has held multiple technical, operational, management, leadership and executive roles to help build and support high value products and services in areas including business intelligence, database marketing, analytics, and marketing automation. Brian has worked with organizations worldwide to generate highly effective data driven insights to achieve their marketing and strategic objectives and gain competitive advantage.
Brian has received distinctions for service on various industry and technology related boards including as former Chairman and President of the International Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA). Brian has also been a longtime advocate in promoting STEM education including currently serving as Chairman of the University of Kansas Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Advisory Board and volunteering at STEM activities including judging at the Greater Kansas City Science and Engineering fair for over 25 years.
Brian has a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Computer Science, both from the University of Kansas as well as a Professional Direct Marketer (PDM) certification from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
