Baba Gurjeet Bedi (Bedi) is a senior Risk and Information Security Executive proficient in developing, deploying and enforcing Enterprise Information/Cyber Security programs.
Bedi was recently the CISO and CSO for CIBC US. He was responsible key functional areas including Cyber Security, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Identity and Access Management, Vendor Risk Management, Fraud Investigations, Records Management and Physical Security for the Bank across US.
Bedi has over thirty years of experience in enterprise information security, regulatory compliance, network & systems architecture. Before joining CIBC Bank USA he was at AST, as the SVP, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) North America. Prior to that he held the position of Director, Advanced Risk & Compliance Analytics at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he led programs at large financial institutions centered on anti-Financial crimes, anti-money laundering and OFAC sanctions screening. Bedi has worked internationally in the US, Canada, Asia and Europe across different business verticals, bringing a deep understanding of cross-jurisdictional considerations in data privacy and regulatory environments.
Bedi holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC)
