Randall Frietzsche

Randall “Fritz” Frietzsche is the Chief Information Security (CISO) and Privacy Officer for Denver Health. Fritz previously worked for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) for almost seven years, most recently as the Regional Information Security Officer for CHI’s QualChoice Health Plans.

Fritz has over 20 years’ experience in Information Technology, 15 years in Information Security and 10 years in Healthcare. Fritz holds a Master’s Degree in Information Security and Assurance, as well as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator, along with 23 other IT and Information Security certifications.

Fritz is very involved in the Information Security industry, as a speaker, blogger and mentor. Fritz is a Distinguished Fellow with the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and was the President of the Louisville, KY ISSA chapter for 8 years. Fritz also teaches Information Security, ethical hacking and digital forensics as an Adjunct Professor, and Cybersecurity Risk Management for Harvard. Fritz started his career as a Deputy Sheriff in Indiana and is a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy. Fritz has recently been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Toggle Magazine, and several other publications, and has given numerous presentations on Cybersecurity.
