Marc Crudgington

CISO; SVP Information Security - Woodforest National Bank

As an award-winning technology and security executive with an MBA, I offer 20+ years of experience in cross-functional technology roles for startups and Fortune 500 corporations. My background includes success in steering a future-focused vision as well as a risk-averse, business-aligned technology strategy to improve costs, efficiencies and scalability.

A balance of technology, financial and business acumen allows me to seamlessly interface with diverse business stakeholders. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to garner buy-in from executives and business leaders on technology initiatives that produce bottom-line results.

Given the complex nature of IT and information security operations, it’s easy to become wrapped up in the details. However, you must maintain a broader view of operations and align strategies with overall corporate objectives. This is where I excel. I’m counted on to deliver technical insights for business decision making, often presenting and influencing up to the Board.

Currently as CISO for a large regional bank with 5,000+ employees, I oversee information security security risk, shaping the strategy to protect company assets and reporting on the security posture to the Board. During my tenure we’ve achieved highest rating on annual OCC audit results and reinforced the IS department’s reputation as a business partner across the bank.
