Kevin O’Connor is the Director of Threat Research at Adlumin, a cybersecurity technology firm that focuses on revolutionizing how corporate institutions secure sensitive data and intellectual property while achieving their compliance objectives through its managed security services platform. He is responsible for building Adlumin’s Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) and threat tracking capabilities, working with his team to provide insights in the development of detection tactics, techniques, and algorithms.
Before his time at Adlumin, O’Connor built experience working at the U.S National Security Agency (NSA), where he graduated from the NSA’s Security Engineering Enrichment Development Program as an Information System Security Engineer. He worked with their Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC) program. In addition, he worked as a technical director with the agency’s computer network operations groups.
O’Connor holds a BSCS in Security & Risk Analysis and Information Sciences and Technology from Pennsylvania State University, and a postgraduate certificate in Systems Security Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He was awarded the NSA’s most distinguished award for excellence in SIGNNT engineering and an award from the Director of National Intelligence (DNI).
