Special Agent Supervisor at Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation

Justin is the Special Agent Supervisor for the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Cyber Crime Unit. Justin was previously a Special Agent in the Cyber Crime Unit, the computer crime detective for the Ohio State University Police Department, and a federally sworn special deputy United States Marshal on the FBI’s Cybercrime Task Force. While in private legal practice, Justin co-chaired the cybersecurity and data privacy sub-practice for the U.S. offices of an Am Law 200 international law firm. Justin was previously a member of CyberOhio’s Legal Cybersecurity Subcommittee where he helped draft Ohio’s Data Protection Act. He is presently a member of Franklin University’s Center for Public Safety & Cybersecurity Education Advisory Board. Justin has testified as an expert witness on computer crimes and digital forensics and has been a subject matter expert for the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies’ Technology Committee and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. He is a GIAC Certified Advanced Smartphone Forensic Examiner (GASF), a Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO), and a Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA). He was previously certified as a GIAC Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (GCFE) (exp. 2019).
