Special Agent - Electronic Crimes Special Agent Program at US Secret Service, Nashville Field Office

The United States Secret Service maintains an integrated mission of protection and financial investigations. The integrated mission includes forensic expertise in an effort to support the investigative and protective missions, missing and exploited children investigations and other major crimes investigated by our law enforcement partners.

I have been with the federal government for thirteen years, with the last four years spent with the United States Secret Service (USSS). I have been involved with the USSS Electronic Crimes Special Agent Program (ECSAP) since 2019. Initially starting as a Network Intrusion Response (NITRO) Special Agent working ransomware, DDoS attacks, and business email compromises, I completed Basic Computer Evidence Recover Training (BCERT) in 2021 to engage in a wider range of cyber investigations expanding beyond network intrusions to include computer forensics and blockchain analytics.  I have experience in incident response that includes collecting data, triage and forensic analysis for both the private and public sector. The incident response has included elements ranging from data exfiltration, phishing, business email compromises, and ransomware.
