Jason Krout

Jason Krout became the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Secret Service’s Nashville Field Office in July of 2020. Prior to this assignment, he was the Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge of the Denver Field Office for six years.    As the Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Mr. Krout is responsible for the oversight of Secret Service protective operations, training, applicant hiring, computer fraud, fraudulent schemes associated with the electronic transfer of funds, false identification documents and devices, and financial institution fraud throughout Middle Tennessee.  Mr. Krout began his career as a Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service in the Miami Field Office in 1999.  Subsequent career assignments have included the Ford Protective Division, the Vice Presidential Protective Division, the Washington Field Office and the Tampa Field Office.  Mr. Krout holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University.
