Jamie Portell

Jamie Portell is currently a Special Agent (SA) with the USPS Office of Inspector General- Computer Crimes Unit currently assigned at Headquarters and as the liaison to the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF) in Chantilly, VA. SA Portell began his career with the U.S. Marshal Service in 2002 and joined the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) in 2012. In 2012, SA Portell was assigned to the St. Louis field office where he worked cyber crimes including the dark net, identity theft/mail theft, and violent crimes investigations. In 2014, SA Portell was detailed to Headquarters to work and assist with standing up the USPIS Cyber Crime Unit.  In 2017, SA Portell was promoted to Program Manager with USPIS and reassigned to the NCIJTF as a liaison. SA Portell currently works on the NCIJTF Virtual Currency Team and Criminal Mission Center where he provides operational case support with investigations involving cyber-crimes, the dark net/cryptocurrency, case coordination, general crimes, and conducts his own cyber-crime investigations.
