James Branham

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Sociology with and emphasis in Law, Criminology, and Deviance. I was hired by the USSS in 2002 and have been assigned to the Uniformed Division – Foreign Missions Branch as an officer and became a Special Agent in 2004. I have been assigned to the Spokane Resident Office, George W. Bush Protective Division and the Minneapolis Field Office. I started my cyber career in 2010 as a Forensic analyst as part of the USSS Electronic Crimes Special Agent Program (ECSAP) in which I conducted forensic exams on devices in cases involving child exploitation and financial crimes. I was reassigned to the Minneapolis Field Office in June 2021 as the Technical Staff Assistant (TSA). My role as the TSA in Minneapolis FO is to coordinate and support cyber/technical investigations for the office and our Cyber Fraud Task Force members. Additionally, I manage all nominations in the Minneapolis District of our state/local partners to the National Computer Forensic Institute.
