Brian Hansen

Brian serves as the Regional Chief Security Officer Latin America and the Caribbean for Mastercard where he focuses on cyber and physical security, risk management and crisis response. Prior to joining Mastercard, Brian was the Executive Director Asia Pacific of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) based in Singapore. There, he provided financial regulators, government officials, law enforcement agencies, financial services companies and other critical stakeholders within Asia Pacific best practices and recommendations to increase actionable threat intelligence, cyber resilience and the overall security posture thereby improving protection of their critical information and assets. Brian also led cyber-diversity efforts in the region by championing efforts to increase opportunities for women to work in cybersecurity positions. Before FS-ISAC, Brian worked for the Pharmaceutical Security Institute as the Senior Intelligence Analyst for Latin America directly coordinating production of actionable intelligence reporting on criminal involvement of global counterfeit pharmaceutical networks. Brian served in the U.S. Department of Defense in security, intelligence and foreign affairs roles for twenty-six years culminating as the Principal Intelligence Officer for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense East Asia. Brian received his Master of Arts degree in Global Affairs from George Mason University focusing on global conflict and security. He holds a CISSP certification from ISC2 and GCTI certification from the Sans Institute. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese.
