Stephen Clemons – Data Connectors
Stephen Clemons joined SMUD as Chief Information Officer in 2017, bringing with him over 20 years of information technology experience.
As a member of the executive team, Steve’s responsibilities include all aspects of information technology at SMUD including infrastructure and security. IT at SMUD is a complex environment that underpins all operations of the utility including power generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to the customer.
Steve came to SMUD from Boston-based private sector cybersecurity firm iBoss Cybersecurity where he was the public sector vice president.
His previous employment includes roles as a Senior Director for Product Management at Qualcomm in San Diego, Chief Information Officer for the San Diego County Office of Education from 2007 to 2014, Information Technology Director for the County of San Diego, and Chief Enterprise Architect for the State of California’s Office of the CIO.
