Philip Wislar – Data Connectors
Philip Wislar entered on duty with the FBI as a Special Agent in 2001. Following graduation from the FBI Academy, he was assigned to the San Francisco Field Office where he worked organized crime and counterterrorism matters, later serving in the Palo Alto Resident Agency where he investigated violations of economic espionage, and was member of the San Francisco SWAT team. In 2007 Mr. Wislar was selected for a specialty transfer to the Washington Field Office to serve as a case agent for an FBI Major Case.
In 2011, Mr. Wislar was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent in the Counterintelligence Division at FBI Headquarters where he served as part of a US Intelligence Community Task Force focused on mitigating threats posed by hostile intelligence services targeting the United States Government and its critical national infrastructure. In 2014, Mr. Wislar was promoted to Unit Chief to establish the Infrastructure Vulnerability and Threat Assessment Center responsible for mitigating enterprise national security risks across the FBI’s technical, physical, and human capital infrastructure.
In 2016, Mr. Wislar was selected as the Senior Supervisory Resident Agent of the Savannah and Brunswick resident agencies in the Atlanta Field Office. In this capacity, Mr. Wislar led the special agents, intelligence analysts, professional support staff, and task force officers in the strategic mitigation of criminal and national security threats throughout a nineteen-county area of responsibility in southeast Georgia.
Most recently, Mr. Wislar was selected to serve as the Assistant Special Agent Charge of the National Security Branch, Atlanta Field Office where he is responsible for leading the personnel and strategic program management of the Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Cyber programs throughout the state of Georgia.
Before he began his career with the FBI, Mr. Wislar served as an active-duty combat arms officer in the United States Army and a project manager for a real estate investment trust headquartered in the Southeast. Mr. Wislar received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Mississippi, and his Masters in Design from the Graduate School of Environment and Design at the University of Georgia.
