Jay is the Chief Security Officer for Samsung Semiconductor, Inc, where his primary responsibility is Intellectual Property protection for a global market leader in the research, design, and manufacturing of semiconductor solutions that power today’s devices.

Prior to his current role, Jay was a Risk Manager with the HP Global Cyber Security Team leading risk assessment efforts across the business. Jay spent 17 years working in Cybersecurity as a Marine and government civilian, with a specialized focus on cyber defense, network operations, and computer forensics. Jay served as the Cybersecurity Liaison to the Department of the Navy CIO, providing cyber intelligence briefings and developing cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection policies and directives. Before leaving government service, Jay served as a Ministerial Advisor to the Afghan Ministry of Interior, in Kabul, and helped develop an Information and Communication Technology education and training program for the Afghan National Police.
