Jared Price – Data Connectors

Jared Price has been with American Municipal Power, Inc. since 2011. In his current role, he is responsible for Cybersecurity of AMP’s Information Technology Systems (IT) and Operations Technology Systems (OT). He is also responsible for guiding AMP’s enterprise IT architecture decisions, which includes SCADA and plant operations systems.

Jared was lead architect in designing AMP’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) program for municipalities. He has nearly 20 years of experience in IT procurement, infrastructure deployment, Cybersecurity, directing IT staff, managing projects, defining strategic roadmaps, and providing support and guidance for both enterprise and mid-sized IT departments. He holds a bachelor’s degree from DeVry University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Jared also holds a Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional certification by Global Information Assurance Certification. Although there are many that now hold this certification, Jared was the 178th person in the world to obtain it.

Jared has a strong passion for Cybersecurity and his mission is to secure all of AMP’s infrastructure, which includes traditional IT systems, SCADA, generation operations systems, and transmission substations. Jared also helps AMP’s member municipalities secure their technology systems and harden their people against Cyber Threats.
