Eric Yancy is the Information Security officer for the City of Irving with responsibility for the city wide Information Security program and control framework.
Prior to working at the City of Irving, Eric was the Information Security Officer for one of the largest business to business travel websites.
With over 18 years of experience in Information Security, Eric has extensive knowledge in assuring the protection of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems.

Eric retains multiple information security credentials including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Certified Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and two National Security Agency certifications on Information Security Assessments. Eric has also been recognized in the International “Who’s Who of Information Technology”.
Eric holds an Associate’s Degree with honors in Robotics and Automated Manufacturing and studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix.
