Ammon’s legal practice focuses on the intersection of healthcare, privacy, security, and information technology. Currently Ammon is the General Counsel and Privacy Officer for the Indiana Health Information Exchange. Prior to joining IHIE, he worked with the Health Information Technology, Privacy, and Security Group at the law firm Hall Render, the compliance team with Kameda Medical Center in Kamogawa City, Japan, and legal team at the Office of the United States Attorneys in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ammon is a frequent contributor and presenter on cybersecurity, interoperability, data rights, and data governance. He graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa: College of Law and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Iowa: College of Public Health.
