Over the past 10 years, cybersecurity has quickly become the hottest and fastest-growing sector in the world. The pace of growth has created a demand for talent that has far surpassed the supply readily available for companies to hire. There are currently 650,000+ unfilled cybersecurity roles in the United States. These roles represent high-paying careers with tremendous upward mobility and incredible wealth accumulation opportunities for individuals trained in cybersecurity skills.
CyberUp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded outside the gates of Scott Air Force Base in 2015 by a group of visionary leaders who saw the need to grow the cybersecurity workforce in St. Louis and beyond. CyberUp is committed to creating free, accessible, and inclusive pathways to high-paying cybersecurity skill paths and careers for youth and adults. Our PowerUp program for youth is designed to educate and inspire students to see cybersecurity as a viable career choice and point them to the best skill path to get there. Our LevelUp Training and Apprenticeship programs recruit, train, and place adults into paid registered apprenticeships.
CyberUp is proudly a Department of Labor Apprenticeship Ambassador. We are also an active partner for the Employment Navigator & Partnership Pilot (ENPP) and Department of Defense SkillBridge Provider. Our efforts ensure that the country will have the cybersecurity talent to protect our networks today and tomorrow.
