| Michael Poczobut has enjoyed a 6 year tenure at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont. As CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and SDTO (Senior Director of Technical Operations), Michael leads all aspects of cyber security as well as infrastructure technical operations, leveraging technologies, enabling the business, growing people and optimizing processes to protect in excess of 200 thousand Vermont members and over 400 employees from cyber-attacks while enabling innovation. In an industry that is highly targeted by cyber threats, Michael has strategically embedded security practices into the fabric of the organization by collaborating with business partners, establishing foundational security policies and standards, applying risk management principles and implementing leading-edge technology solutions to protect Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont’s most valuable assets and data all while leading the architectural technology change of on-premise to cloud. Michael is a compelling communicator, regularly translating complex security topics for C-level officers, board members, regulators and auditors to build security awareness. Michael combines both strategic acumen and operational management expertise. He develops and implements the organization’s multi-year strategy for cyber security and technology while ensuring operational excellence with a 5 person cyber security team and a 15 person infrastructure team. |
